Elec nodded to Fire as well when addressed. When asked for his power, he spoke up softly. ”My ability is Thunder Beam—a bolt of pure electricity. I can concentrate it into a larger thunderbolt, but I rather dislike doing so. Very draining.”

He gulped when Blues showed up, making a good point. At least, from a logical standpoint. Yes, it had been Time’s decision, but was it not a family’s duty to protect their family member from a bad decision? He tried to find the words, but they just weren’t coming so easily.

“…You raise a good point. However, is it not a family’s duty to one of their own to make sure that their family does not get harmed?” He wasn’t going to let Blues get off that easily. ”While I, for one, respect his free will, sometimes there must also be boundaries for one’s safety.”

Hornet jumped a bit when Blues appeared, but quickly recognized him from when they had last spoken at the park that one night. He looked down, biting his lip under his mask in thought. It was true; Time did leave by his own decision, and it wouldn’t be right to force him otherwise. But this wasn’t something safe. He knew firsthand that Dr. Wily was trouble. Nothing he promised, no matter how wonderful and good, could be trusted at face value. Just thinking about it brought up bitter memories. “I-I’m sorry, Blues. I know he has the right to make his own decisions, b-but… y-you especially should know Dr. Wily is up to no good. H-he’ll probably reprogram him and force him to do things against his will anyway! That’d be worse, w-wouldn’t it?”

He shook his head. This was the right thing to do, he was sure of it. He looked back to Star Man with renewed resolution, and answered as to his power. “My weapon is the Hornet Chaser. I can release robotic hornet drones, and they can… they can a-attack. But they can fetch items, as well. Th-they can carry quite a lot, and even more if there’s a few working.” He tapped his mask. It didn’t seem like much compared to his brothers and new friends. But the only other thing he could offer was, “I can fly at low altitudes, if it’s helpful.”

Fire gave a piece of paper over to Star Man. That way he could draw the map while everyone explained their powers. “Guess I should tell y’all what I can d’. I got mah Fire Storm. I can shoot flames from mah torches, as well as create a shield o’ fire.”

“Quint.. sure ya migh’ not be best suited fer battle.. but hackers are essential t’ the team. Ya can get in places we ain’t gonna be able t’ get into. Locked doors, security cameras? Ya can get int’ the controls ‘n make ‘em yers.” That took care of Quint’s role. What else.. A shield, ice, electricity, fire, robot bees.. What all could they do with that?

Wait.. Blues!? Where’d he come from?!

“Elec’s righ’. Time migh’ have his own freedom, but we ain’t lettin’ ‘im d’ somethin’ that’s gonna d’ more harm than good.”

“Thanks. Okay the problem is, if to many Robots get into the Fortress, Wily will notice it. But he also doesn’t know that Quint is helping us right? So it won’t be a problem for you Quint to get into the Fortress. If you hack into the system, do you think you are able to cause blackout?”

Star started to draw the map, as Blues appeared and tried to explain that it was Time’s decision. He didn’t want to interfere himself into this discussion.

“The Blackout won’t affect the laboratory and some parts of the Fortress, because they have an emergency generator. That’s where we have to fight….”
Fight… that’s what he was worried about. He had so fight against his brothers, his family….for sure. Could he stand this? He had to….

Blues Listened to each of the objecting robots’ arguments, still cold and stone-like as a statue. Unwavering, he slowly nodded. “If what you truly wish is to rescue Time from Wily’s control, than so be it. As long as you are certain that is the only reason.” THey were a good bunch, at heart, if not a bit misguided by their emotions at times, but Blues had a decent amount of faith in their intentions. He turned away, looking just slightly over his shoulder and saying, “Good luck. I’ll be watching.” before calmly striding off without another word. Should they have looked away from even just a moment, he would have been gone by the time they looked back.

Elec stood quietly and sternly, listening closely. He needed to help for sure. ”…And is there anything I can do?” He was going to let Fire and Star take the forefront for sure. However, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try to find a use for himself.

Hornet fidgeted uncomfortably, fretting about Time and how on earth he thought going to Wily could have been a good idea. What was he thinking? His mind was torn between panicked frustration and the fierce instinct to protect his kin. He looked up when Elec asked for his responsibilities, chiming in. “Y-yes… same for me. I want to help. I-I’ll do anything you need me to.”

“Yeah, a drawin’ o’ the complex would work well. That way, the rest o’ us know what we’re gonna be in fer when we get there.” Fire glanced around. Quite the group they had there.. Himself, Star, Quint, Ice, Elec, and Hornet. Well.. he knew what everyone here could do.. except for two of them. Star and Quint.

“So.. I think it’s best we know what each other can d’. We can make use o’ our powers better if we work together. Don’t want someone firin’ somethin’ that’ll effect one o’ us negatively. Ain’t that righ’, Ice?”

He was weak against Ice Slasher, after all…

“Okay give me some paper… There are many traps around the Fortress but we can avoid them by using our abilities! My ability is the Starcrash… it is a barrier which is strong against the gravity hold and weak againt the water wave… I can protect myself and others but I can also fire with my starcrash….

So you need to tell me what you abilities are. I can take them into the plan.”
His head started to work. He was able to take things over. He learned that at his supervisor job. Although he was tired, he tried to concentrate.

Standing silently, not far back, but as of yet unseen, was Blues, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. He watched them discuss for some time, eyes relaxed, though hidden behind his black visor. He finally stood up straight, lowering his arms and approaching the group. His face was stern; cold and emotionless, though thoughtful. When he spoke, his voice carried the tone of a distant, unbiased judge, harboring no anxiety, worry, regret, or even frustration. “All of you neglect the fact that it was Time, himself, who made this decision. The question that is at the forefront of this situation is such: Will you let him exhibit his own free will, making his own choices, or will you hold him back, and coddle him because of his small stature or harsh choice?”

Ah, Wily.

I can assure you that your boney hands will never even touch the paint on my shield. I have my own will. I do as I please, and I decide who I will and will not fight for.

Your odds of gaining my allegiance any time soon… are not very good.

I may not say much in Dr. Light’s favor, but I will say this: He is a far better man than you are, and he, while less than ‘perfect’ as a family man, is still someone who cares for his race.

And… perhaps his later creations.
